About Novalis® Shaped Beam Surgery
Introduced in 1997, Novalis® Shaped Beam Surgery offers exclusive shaped-beam radiation that matches to the shape of the tumor, so even irregularly shaped tumors receive the prescribed treatment. Sophisticated software calculates the ideal access points to the tumor and defines the treatment plan.

Initially, Novalis Radiosurgery was implemented for the treatment of brain tumors or lesions, where pinpoint precision is required to focus treatment on tumors close to critical structures within the brain. Experts soon extended the benefits of Novalis precision to other areas of the body, such as the lung, liver, prostate and spine, to improve and increase the range of patients’ available treatment options.
